The scholarship is available to a nurse or student nurse who is interested in pursuing a career in pediatric nursing.

Requirements/Eligibility (not all-inclusive)

  • Must be a member of NBNA and a member of a local chapter (if one exists in your area)
  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in a nursing program (BSN, AD, Diploma or LPN / LVN, Masters, and Doctoral) and in good scholastic standing at the time of application
  • Applicant must have at least one full year of school remaining
  • Official Transcript(s) from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Written Essay
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation
  • Documented evidence of:
    • Participation in student nurse activities
    • Involvement in the African American Community
  • State Nationwide
  • Deadline 05/21/2021
  • Amount $5,000
