Kathryn Suggs Chance Leonard Scholarship
From Georgia Nurses Foundation
The Kathryn Suggs Chance Leonard Scholarship will be awarded to men or women entering or already active in the profession of nursing who are enrolled in a school of nursing in Georgia. Successful candidates will demonstrate the same integrity, courage, and vision that Dr. Chance (Leonard) exhibited in overcoming life’s obstacles and barriers.
Eligibility (not all-inclusive)

Currently enrolled in an accredited Master’s or Doctoral program in nursing in the state of Georgia
-
Provide a letter from the nursing program Director/Dean verifying the program is accredited

Resident of Georgia/provide verification of Georgia residency
-
GPA 3.0 on 4.0 scale in prior nursing education

Official transcripts of previous academic work and standing related to nursing
-
If a non-RN must have completed at least one semester of nursing clinical
-
Provide two letters of recommendation
