Celeste Hayo, who lost her life in a moped accident in Bali, was a graduate of King Kekaulike High School. The Celeste Hayo Memorial Scholarship Fund, sponsored by the Hawaii Community Foundation, is for graduates of King Kekaulike High School. Preference is given to high school or former high school soccer players, students pursuing nursing, and those who have performed community services.

Requirements

  • Resident of the State of Hawaii
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Attend an accredited, two or four year, not-for-profit institution within the US (including US territories)
  • Attend as a full-time student (as determined by your school’s financial aid office)
  • Graduate of King Kekaulike High School
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Undergraduate student
  • High preference for a high school or former high school athlete
  • High preference for a student pursuing a career in the medical field with a preference for a nursing major
  • Preference for a student who has performed community service

Award Amount

  • Minimum: $500.00
  • Maximum: $7000.00
