This scholarship, sponsored by the Pride Foundation, was created by Stacey Prince in 2007 to support LGBTQ students pursuing graduate education in psychology, psychiatry, social work, or Psychiatric Nursing.

Requirements

  • Residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington
  • Must be members of the LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Students with additional barriers to education as well as those who are economically, racially, socially, geographically, or politically disenfranchised will be given consideration as well

Award Amount

  • $500 to $12,000 annually, non-renewable
  • Total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $12,000
  • Average award: $3,250
