The Hawaii Community Foundation is the sponsor for the Aiea General Hospital Association Scholarship.

Aiea General Hospital closed its doors in 1983. With the hospital's remaining assets, its Board of Directors established a trust in 1985 as an expression of gratitude to area residents for their many years of support.

Requirements

  • Be an undergraduate college student majoring in a health-related field
  • Be a resident of one of these Leeward O'ahu zip code areas: 96701, 96706, 96707, 96782, 96792 or 96797
  • Be enrolled as a full-time student
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Attend an accredited, two or four year, not-for-profit institution within the US (including US territories)
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Two letters of recommendation required

Award Amount

  • Maximum: $5,000
  • Average: $2,000
  • Minimum: $500
