I'm applying for a scholarship through a local hospital group. For every year they pay for your schooling you sign a contract for a year of work. The thought of being stuck working for them doesn't bother me at all because that's where I want to work anyway. :) It is also nice to know that when you graduate there is a job waiting for you and if there isn't all debts to the hospital group would be forgiven. Now I'm just hoping I actually get it.
Most hospitals have scholarship programs if you look on their websites. Hospitals are usually owned by groups which include other hospitals, pain centers, etc. Contact a hospital in your area and ask them if they have these opportunities.
I don't know about other programs but this one doesn't work that way. The only thing you are signing is a contract stating you will work for them for a year for every year they pay for your schooling. If you choose not to work for them then you will have to pay that money back. If you graduate and they don't have a position available for you then you are not responsible for the money they paid on your tuition. Hope this helps.

Hi everybody! I'm going to be starting nursing school in the fall and I'm looking into scholarships. Who all out there is applying for scholarships and where are you finding the best places to look for them. My school has some smaller scholarships but I'm looking to expand on that. Any great ideas would be appreciated!!
