YSN is proud to offer the Community Scholars scholarship program, which provides up to 8 new incoming YSN students a full scholarship covering all tuition, fees and health insurance along with an annual stipend of $20,000.   We want to support our students who share a commitment to working with underserved communities and reducing health disparities among them!

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Anyone who submits an application to any speciality in the on-campus Graduate Entry Prespecialty in Nursing (GEPN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs and who achieved a minimum 3.5 GPA (or US equivalent) in their bachelor's degree.

HOW DO I APPLY?

To apply to the Community Scholars program you must first submit a NursingCAS application for admission to the GEPN or RN-MSN program at Yale by the November 1st priority deadline. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you'll be emailed a link to a separate scholarship application form after November 1st. 

WHAT DOES THE APPLICATION INCLUDE?

The separate application for the Community Scholars program includes a series of essays inviting the applicant to demonstrate their commitment to working with underserved populations and how their time at YSN will help them achieve that goal.
