SBCC Spring 2019

Hello everyone,

This question is for those who have applied to the Santa Barbara City College Nursing Program for Spring 2019. Has anyone received any emails regarding the program since the application cycle ended? It says online that the first communications would be sent after the application cycle but I have not received any emails.

Yes I received an email letting me know they got my application, and then the other day I got an email saying my transcripts were being sent to admissions and records to get evaluated.

That's interesting, I haven't received any emails. I emailed one of the ladies in the office and she said that my application was received and is being reviewed but that is odd that I never got any emails about it.

Well you're checking your pipeline email not your personal email right?

Also, I'm wondering if you're applying to other programs? Because I am and most of the deadlines haven't even come yet and I know SBCC notifies us of acceptance the first week of September...so I'm terrified that they will only give us a week or so to accept our seat or not when I'm still waiting to hear from other schools :/

Yeah I have been checking my pipeline but I went into the office to ask about it and they told me not to worry about it and that not everyone gets those emails and it doesn't mean anything.

Yeah I had this problem too. I wanted to apply to some Bachelor degree programs but I also don't want to give up my spot if I get in for a just a chance that I could get in elsewhere. So I decided just to apply there for the time being. I think if I don't get in then I am going to try to apply to other programs, but I am going to wait and see. However, I think they will probably give more than a week but probably at most like a month to accept your seat or not.

Well that's smart. I applied to SBCC knowing the other schools deadlines were way later but it's whatever I guess...I'll figure it out. But hopefully they give us a month to decide because damn a week isn't very long but I know these nursing schools don't mess around lol.

Lol yeah it is pretty intense! Let me know when you get the email regarding acceptance, it should come sometime this week but I haven't received it yet. Good luck!!

Well I got in! I hope you did as well :)
