Savannah Hospitals and Info

Hi all,

I am an RN nursing student. It is getting down to the wire of my last semester and it is actually looking like I will graduate in May. I have applied for a Pediatric RN position at the closest teaching hospital about 30 mins away. I don't know if I will get the position. I was kinda considering a relocation to Savannah as well. There are two hospitals that I am interested in: the St.Joseph's/Candler and Memorial Health. I am not familiar with Savannah myself, but have heard good and bad things about the area. Is Savannah a place that I would be okay to live and work by myself/ pretty safe area mostly? I need a nurse's direct opinion about which hospital would be better choice for a new grad, since they both offer nurse residency programs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
