Published

Hi to all! I got accepted into the fall 2009 LVN program at San Jacinto College south campus:yeah: and I was wanting to know if anyone who has went through their program can give me an idea of the questions they ask during the interview. I am so nervous and excited and dont want to mess up and look like an idiot so if any one could help me that would be great. My interview is in 2 weeeks! Thanks in advance! Oh and if you have any other helppful advice that would be great! Thanks!

Hi Im applying to san jac for the spring 2010 lvn. Did you have to take the hesi test, and how was the acceptance/ranking process. I took the HESI today and made an 85, but Im supposed to start the Blinn lvn pgrm 8/31. But I live in houston, and hoping I can get in san jac, before I pass up a great opportunity. Do you think I have a chance for getting in?

Hi Mary I have a question for you since you have been acccepted in San Jac's lvn program...big congrats btw:yeah:. My question is about the hesi, I have to take in on Aug. 14th and was wondering what sections where covered on the test? I know the basics grammer, vocabulary, read comp and math, I'm not really worried about the A and P or Bio but what is giving me a panic attack is the physics section and chemistry section in the review book. Are all sections covered? I am hoping just the basics and A and P and Bio... please let me know, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Veronica

No physics or chemistry is covered on the HESI for the San Jac LVN program. They go by a point system and from my experience they have the most leinent point system. The program and school are the best in the area is what lve heard from past nursing students. I dont know how they rank students but I got an 88 on my HESI. If you want to wait till the spring to attend San jac I would do it. But if not I would say go to the school you got accepted to. Hope that helps!

Hi Mary I had a quick question. I took the HESI on Wednesday, and made an 88 on the math and 82.98 on the reading. Totally, I have a score of 7.4196 out of 8. Do ya'll only take 1 part on the HESI @ San Jac? I'm applying for the LVN program for Spring 2010 @ the Tomball campus and was just wondering if I stood a chance of getting in? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mary Cherry,

Congrats for your acceptance to the LVN program, my question to you is, what was your GPA when you applied and did that help your overall acceptance to the program?

Generally about how many students apply per semester? What advice would you give for the following students who would want to apply for the LVN program?

Thank you.

Mary Cherry, I have a questions about the interview process. I have been accepted into South's Lvn program for Spring 2010 and have my interview Dec. 3, I was wondering how your interview went and what types of questions where thrown at you. How do you like the program so far and how are your clinicals?

Thanks,

Veronica

Hi,

I've been accepted also. I was also wondering about the interview process. Is it a panel or individual? I'm really nervous now.

Hi did you pick up your paperwork today? I did too, when is your interview set for?

Veronica

Yes I did. Yes my interview is 12/3 @ 10. Do you know if its a panel or individual interview?

Me too, my interview is the same day @ 1pm. I am waiting for a reply from Mary Cherry to see what type of interview and questions, since she has already gone thru the process. I am so excited can't wait for Jan. to get here. I wonder why orientation is 2 days long, well one full day and a partial day.

Hi! The interview is a way to get to know the students. They asked us simple questions like why you want to be a nurse? How do you study etc. The lady we had our interview with is really nice. It was a group interview with other students. As far as clinicals go they have been ok in my opinion there is way too much paperwork and the clincal site is not the best but I understand you have to take what you can get. To all incoming level one students I hope you get the best instructer who is very helpful! I wish she still taught level 2! Hope this helps and goodluck!
