San Jac Spring 2024

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I'm applying to Spring 2024 entry and have not found any threads on it here. Does anyone have the scoring rubric and what the lowest accepted score was in prior years? Also for Spring entry, does anybody know if the program is a Spring-Summer-Fall-Spring schedule? Lastly, how is the weekly schedule at the campuses (and is there any differences between Central and North)?

I am hoping to apply too and I am wondering the same thing.

I'm just finished taking the HESI today. Maybe I can get everything together and submit an application by Monday.

Hello, have you heard from either campus? I applied to both Central and North for Spring 2024, I have heard from North and was accepted, but nothing from Central as of yet.

I do not know what the lowest accepted score on the rubric was in past years, but I scored a 24 overall with a 94 on the HESI.

I have the same question regarding the schedule and course breakdown, I emailed Ms...... at North and she said she would try to find a course outline for Spring admission but that this stuff will be covered during our orientation next month.

In terms of differences between the programs -- obviously all the courses will the same because its standardized, but I do know the Central campus is bigger, about twice the size of the North campus. I am not sure if that means North will have better access to instructors/resources/one on one help if needed or if they have adequate staff at Central to account for the larger program, I would assume the latter.

They have similar NCLEX pass rates, but in the past North has had a higher program completion rate (which stands to reason being smaller). Anecdotally, I feel like the North campus "has their stuff together" more than Central, but again this is completely anecdotal based on my very limited experience, its just the impression I got. Lack of communication regarding HESI test dates during the process, the fact that North got back to me within a week regarding app status and Central takes 4-6 weeks, North was very helpful with explaining the HESI process and testing requirements, and dates/times. Furthermore, if you're anything like me, I have "preplanned" my semester and drafted a mock schedule to have an idea of what to expect time/schedule wise, when doing so I noticed that central has almost no classes listed in SOS whereas North has all of theirs currently open for registration.

Again, nothing concrete just an impression! Central is 12 minutes from my house and North is 30 and requires the beltway all the way, so I had hoped for central for that reason alone LOL but ill be attending North!

Sorry this got so long, good luck!!

Hi, I also got a acceptance letter from North campus, and never heard from central. Do we have to do the Blue Card now or after the orientation?

Thank you and good luck to everyone

Thank you,

Have they sent any information about the BLUE CARD?

Yes, upon accepting the spot at North my name and information was given to TBON, who then registered me with the fingerprint/background service IDENTOGO. I was contacted by identogo with instructions to complete my fingerprints/background. I did that and about a week later received my blue card in the mail, which I then uploaded to castlebranch.

Sorry, I didn't see this message before replying to the other one. I would get your fingerprints done ASAP. It only took mine a week to come back, but I have heard of others waiting up to 4 weeks. If you wait until after orientation that's right when we get into holiday season so I would imagine things will start taking a bit more time (it is a government agency after all)!

Congrats on acceptance, I hope to see you there! And btw, we should be hearing from Central within a week or so according to the admin assistant at Central. They say 4-6 weeks and this is week 5.

Hi! It took 5 days for Identogo to reach out to me to tell me to set up an appt and then it took a full week after my fingerprint appt to get my blue card in my mailbox.

I hope this helps! See you at orientation ?
