San Diego CNA Training

Published

Hello,

I am trying (somewhat desperately) to find a CNA program to start in January. Most are full. Does anyone have any suggestions of colleges/private places to obtain this training? Thanks!

Hello there, I don't know if you found a CNA program yet but there is a school here in SD called International Health Grp School of Nursing. They have a CNA program that starts on January 11th and it's a 24 day accelerated course so you would be finished on February 20th and on the 25th day you will sit for your state exam. The program costs $1,800 and they have the clinicals at the Lifehouse Health Services in Kearny Mesa.

oh and I forgot to add- they are accredited by the CA Dept. of Health Services and they only allow 15 students per course so if you're interested I'd get in touch with them soon but so far they still have open seats.

Thanks for the info. I've decided to wait until the summer to take my CNA but I'll look into the program. Thanks!

Mira Costa College has an EXCELLENT CNA Program. I took mine there a year ago and I learned a lot. I had the same problem - it was full when I wanted to enroll. I just kept checking the website (over and over) until somebody dropped the course or was dropped due to non-payment. Also, if you get there really early before class the teacher will drop the students who don't show up and take the crashers on a 1st come, 1st served basis.

The tuition is only $21 per unit. You can't beat that!
