San Diego CNA class question???

Published

I'm wondering where I can get all the immunization shots, x-rays, lab tests(what does that consist of by the way,) and everything else needed to enter the CNA class at Southwestern College. Is there somewhere that takes care of all these requirements? Cheapest, most convenient? Thank you for any help.

I also need to know where to get the shots done.

You can get a lot of those tests, like the TB test and whatnot at the public health centers throughout San Diego.

You might want to give them a call to see if they offer other tests at low cost or no cost.

Health Services at SWC campus can provide the required physical, tetorifice, TB screening, MMR vac, and Hep B ($22 per shot -you need 3 spaced apart). I believe you can decline Hep B only if you are on a time squeeze and get those later.

The varicella, chest xrays (for positive TB test only), and titres ( blood work if you are unsure/or have no record of what immunizations you have already had) must be provided by a doctor.

If you go thru the Human & Health Services Immunization clinics, you don't need an appointment but be prepared to wait several hours to be seen. It is very low cost.

My family physician was able to provide all of the things I needed on the list.
