I didn't see one yet, so I'm starting a thread for people admitted to the Samuel Merritt ABSN in San Mateo (San Francisco Peninsula) for Spring 2026.

hey, thank you for starting this one since I only saw the sac one! I received my acceptance for Spring 2026 san mateo cohort on 9/16 and am planning to attend! so excited!

Hey everyone! I'm also part of the San Mateo cohort. I just received the tuition numbers, I feel like I'm at a loss whether to continue or not, did anyone receive aid at all?

@Manya Naranzogt yes I received aid (loan options). Did you fill out your FASFA?

Ohh I see I think I received some federal loans and private loans mixed. I thought the advisor had told me there would be aid + loans. Thanks for answering!

I am on my final week as part of the November 2025 cohort at San Mateo ABSN program.  Ask my anything you want.  

But if you have other school choices, not in an immediate rush to finish school (can do a 14-16 or even 24 month program) or willing to go out of state (you should if you can), please take those options.  

At SMU, you pay top dollar but will not get the top dollar product you deserve.
