Samuel merritt current srna or grads, please read!

So in my understanding, does SAMUEL MERRITT take a look at "NURSING ONLY gpa"? Or does this "NURSING ONLY gpa" consist of "THE LAST 60 RECENT UNITS" taken as an undergrad?

I went straight to the Samuel Merritt website and found this:

How is my application file reviewed by the CRNA admission counselor?

The CRNA admission counselor will review files to see which files meet the minimum admission requirements:

Most recent 60 semester/90 quarter unit GPA = 3.0 or higher

Overall GPA (all colleges/universities attended) = 3.0 or higher

All science GPA

Minimum combined GRE scores = 900 or higher

All prerequisites accounted for

3 letters or recommendation accounted for

ACLS/PALS/CA RN accounted for

Account for all other admission documentation that is require

... so as far as I can see, they first base your admission on the MOST 60 UNITS then to OVERALL GPA then to ALL SCIENCE GPA. So then when I go around forums why do I see people post "BSN gpa" when asked about their admission status? Is "BSN gpa" equivalent to THE MOST RECENT 60 UNITS? Please, anyone, help me out on this because I'll freak if Samuel Merritt will really look at your NURSING ONLY gpa as well. And by NURSING ONLY gpa, I'm talking about courses with the Nursing prefix.

Thanks guys!

Have you applied? Did you take your GRE? Do you have info on interviews? Would love to chat!

I don't know if you've already received the answer you were looking for, but as far as I know, they look at your nursing GPA, which consists of Anatomy, Physio, Chem and Microbio. They WILL NOT accept anyone under a 3.0. The counselor told me you MUST have at least a B in all courses. They also look at your last 60 unit/90quarter unit GPA. So, to answer your question, they look at both.

By ALL courses, do you mean ALL courses present on the transcript? What if I got a C in a non-nursing, elective course? Will that affect one's chance of getting in? I'm guessing it also depends on the school you apply for.. which school are you referring to?

Thanks a lot!

All that matters are you nursing pre reqs courses which are anatomy, chemistry, physiology, and microbiology. In addition to that, your last 60 semester units and/or 90 quarter units must be at least 3.0 gpa. I hope this helps!
