Hello everyone!:) I am new to allnurses, but I have been reading tons of forums trying to figure out my chances of getting accepted into the BSN program at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland next fall/ spring ( I am applying to both terms, although I have heard you have a better shot of admittance for Spring term).
I have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 ( really low ) and my science pre requisite GPA is 3.6. I work as a CNA so I have that as experience as well. I only have microbio and chemistry to take which I will have in progress this fall. I am worried my stats are too low to be a competitive applicant, but this is my #1 school choice for nursing and I really would love some input from students who were accepted into the program about how to increase my chances of acceptance and what GPA you have when you applied! I just need some hope that I will eventually be accepted.. Ah!
