Saint Martin's University

Has anyone applied to St. Martin's University's (Lacey, WA) new BSN program? I'm wondering if anyone has heard from nursing admissions yet. I was hopeful that today would be the day but looking at their website it looks like decisions for transfers may come out in March.

Hey @kitkatt I am going to apply there this year, how is their application process and if you don't mind me asking, what was your GPA in pre-reqs and cumulative. Also, are you transferring from a community college? because that is what I am doing.

Hi Harleen,

Unfortunately I wasn't accepted to St. Martin's. Their application process was pretty straight forward--demographic info, school history with transcripts and a couple of essay questions. My cumulative GPA was 3.96 with pre-reqs at 4.0. I was a post-bacc applicant, but took some pre-reqs that I didn't have in undergrad at a community college. I would definitely recommend attending one of their info sessions if you get the chance. Good luck to you!

Hi! I was wondering about this too. I finally caved at 7:00 last night and emailed my advisor to see if I was admitted but they said that the campus is closed. I’m hoping this is why we haven’t heard anything back yet and they’ll let us know today. Crossing my fingers for us both

I just found out I’m waitlisted for Spring 2022, I don’t know if I should be excited or not! Haha

Congrats! That’s so exciting! ?? I haven’t heard anything back yet, so I’m not sure if they go acceptance first then waitlisted people, then the people who are denied or vice versa. I had an interview for Seattle University this morning so hopefully if I don’t get in to SMU I might have another option. I don’t have any healthcare experience so I’m just hoping it doesn’t hurt me.

I didn’t have much either, I have a BA already and got a 4.0 on prereqs though. I don’t know if I should start applying to other places that require the TEAS or just hope for getting in for Spring.  I don’t know how hopeful to be! I have my fingers crossed for you!!

Hey guys,

I found out yesterday that I got accepted into the Spring 2022 BSN program. My close friend also got waitlisted but he had to email the counselor to find out.

Thank you so much! Honestly I’d apply for anything that you can as a back up plan. I have a feeling that due to COVID nursing schools are going to be even more competitive with applicants. It’s better to be safe than sorry but that’s still a win.
