Hey! I am sorry I don't have the answer but I am currently applying to SJC for the absn. I was wondering what your stats were for application? The admissions advisor explained to me it was mainly hands on Lab simulations and such in the immersion and if you are from further away a lot of people do airbnbs! sorry I don't have more info!!
I might be starting May 2025 for this program, let me know if you're going would love to connect

Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has started this program and if they know what are the lab and clinical requirements are since I am a student not in Maine.
Sorry I m not on here to often. All the theory work, quizzes, exams, discussion post etc are done on line. There was a once week in person immersion prior to the beginning of clinicals which are in person at hospital etc. At the immersion we did a bit of skills training and on the final day we demonstrated what was done in front of instructors. The time for the start dates in between 1st and 2nd semester were 3 days apart so be ready to stay busy with little time to spear to complete all work on time. Currently in the process of completing 2nd semester which, we do the next in person immersion the 3rd semester which will be January of 25. Hope this helps
Thank you so much! so glad to hear you are enjoying it. How did clinical placements go? I was concerned as I would be distance student.
It went well, we there were students in my group who came in from many different states, some did theirs in a couple of weeks and left back to their home states, the instructors worked well with them. There were other students who were able to secure a clinical site themselves ( I heard this method was so much more paper work to submit ) so that might be something to ask them about and inquire.
