Safe Staffing

http://SafeStaffingSavesLives.org

ANA's Safe Staffing Saves Lives Campaign has

received a tremendous response from nurses from around the country who

have shared their stories and experiences about the effects of safe and

unsafe staffing in their hospitals.

ANA is now working on how we can best utilize these

stories to bring attention to the issue and help facilitate change.

Make sure ANA hears how staffing affects clients in the school setting.

If you have not yet had a chance to share

your story, please do so:

This week's essay

touches on the importance of safe staffing in all settings. It is

not just hospitals that are under-staffed. Specifically, we take a

look at the inadequate staffing level of school nurses and how it is

affecting children in California where they have one school nurse to

approximately 2700 students. .

Make sure to check the

http://SafeStaffingSavesLives.org site on regular basis to look for new

information as it is posted. Don't forget to take the poll -

we need your input!!

As a member, you understand

how important this work is, and ANA's role in the process. Please

take a moment to share this information with your colleagues.
