Saddleback and Golden West points scores

Hey everyone I am getting ready to apply for nursing school and am planning to apply at Golden West and Saddleback if you got in to either one of these schools can you let me know when you applied and how many points you think you had? I am just trying to get an idea of what a competitive points score would be for both schools I have heard a few different things from different people and want to get more of an idea. Thanks!!!!

I didn't apply to Saddleback because I would still need to take Speech and Pharm to be considered competitive. I took Nursing Concepts last semester and the Professor said that 69 points was the cut off for Spring 2014 entry. Good luck!!

Ok after I take my life cycle classes this semester I'll have 70 points exactly so let's hope that it's enough! Do you know when the application deadline is for spring 2015???

I just received my acceptance letter to golden west on saturday. I was admitted to Spring '15.

I am unsure of saddleback as I did not bother applying there.

As far as Golden West ...it was my first attempt at applying there. If I recall correctly my total points were 69 or 70.

I had a 3.5 gpa

74.7 ati (meh not great but I also neglected to study ha)

Have 3 Associate degrees

And also had over 200+ hrs work experience in a Health Care Setting

Congrats!!! That's great! Thanks so much for getting back to me. So does goldenwest only accept applications once a year and then they start you in either the fall or spring?

Yes GWC switched over to a once per year application period at the beginning of the year. Then those students selected get placed into either a Fall start or Spring start date. :)

And as a side note ..when applying (Only IF you took your core classes outside of a Region 8 school) be sure to keep an eye out for the deadline to submit your transcripts that contain your core classes (only if outside of a Region 8 school) by their deadline. Which would be prior to the application period even occurring ...if you don't get those turned in, they won't consider your application at all.

I also got accepted in to Goldenwest Spring 15. I had 69 points. I applied to Saddleback with 75 points. Still waiting to hear from them and CSUSM. I will let you know if I get in or not with those points.

Random question but does anyone know saddlebacks policy on pregnant nursing students???
