Hi! My name is Jessica. I am a pre-nursing student at Sac State. I'm in my third year and I only have a few more classes I need before I can apply. I have a few questions when it comes to applying to the program. When it comes to applying to different schools nearby like sf state, sj state , chico state, or even east bay, do all of these schools have the same requirements when it comes to pre-requisites? Also is it easier to get into these schools compared to sac state? I have a nursing gpa of 3.7 and I'm worried it wont be good enough to get in. I still need to take my TEAS test as well. I was also wondering about the extra points when coming from a disadvantage high school. I went to a few different high schools so do they only accept the high school you graduated from or any high school that you went to? My last question is about the repeat policy. Does this apply to a certain class or any course in that certain area? For example I already retook a class in the societal cultural patterns area but still couldn't achieve an A. Can I take a different class in this area or will points be deducted from me? If anyone knows the answers to these questions it will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Hi there! I'm a pre-nursing student at Sac State also, hoping to get in for Fall 2016. I can answer some of your questions. Nearby nursing programs from the schools you mentioned have similar prerequisites (Some have more prereqs, some have less. I suggest looking into each of their prereqs) but different application requirements than Sac State. About the repeat policy. You will not get deducted if you take a different class than the one you have already taken twice. So for example, if you took Sociology twice and were not able to get an A, you could take another course that is applicable to that corequisite area. So yes, you can take a different class and will not get deducted points (:
