Re:RESTROOM TRIP POLICY (RTP)

In the past, staff were permitted to take trips to the restrooms under informal guidelines. Effective June 12, 2001, a Restroom Trip Policy (RTP) will be established to provide a consistent method of accounting for each staff's restroom time and ensuring equal treatment for all.

Under this policy, a "Restroom Trip Bank" will be established for each staff member. The first day of each month, staff members will be given a restroom credit of 20. Restroom trip credits can be accumulated from month to month.

Currently, the entrances to all staff restrooms are being equipped with personnel identification stations and computer-linked voice print recognition. During the next week, each staff member must provide two copies of voice prints (one normal, one under stress) to the main office. The voice print recognition stations will be operational, but not restrictive during this month so that you may acquaint yourselves with the stations.

When a staff member's restroom trip bank reaches zero, the door to all restrooms will not unlock for that staff member's voice until the first day of the next month.

In addition, all restroom stalls, are being equipped with timed paper roll retractors.

If the restroom is occupied for more than three minutes, an alarm will sound. Thirty seconds after the alarm sounds, the roll of paper in the stall will retract, the toilet will flush, and the bathroom door will open.

If you have any questions about this new policy, please contact the main office.

What, someone gets to take a bathroom break. Is it a new incentive. :D
