RPN vs RN for an Entrepreneur

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello everyone!

I was going to go into the RN program 3 years ago... started my pre-reqs and then 3 months later changed my mind and fulfilled my dream of opening a dance studio. I still have my studio and I love it, but I am regretting not finishing and going through with the nursing. It was always at the back of my mind, but recently I met someone and the past couple of months we have been dating very seriously. He is going to med school in the Carribean in September... all the med school talk got me back to really wanting to be a nurse again.

I will be doing my pre-reqs online, still running my studio and I have two daughters that almost 4 and almost 6. On top of that, I need to find a way to maintain my relationship with my boyfriend, who I believe is "the one."

Which should I go for? RPN or RN? Would it make sense to just do RPN and then bridge later on or just get it all done in one shot? What are the major differences between the two?

I figured eventually my boyfriend could have his own practice and I could work as a nurse with him... which would be awesome. lol

I am a very, very determined person and I know it's going to be a ton of work... I just don't know which route to go.

Thank you so much in advance! :)
