Hi Everyone! 

I plan to apply to Rosalind Franklin's CRNA program opening this August. I am currently a travel nurse in a CTICU with a CVICU background. I will have 1 year of CVICU experience when I apply to the program and overall 3 years of nursing experience with a background of acute care. I sometimes question if I should go seek a staff position to aid in helping get into CRNA school. I feel like as a traveler I don't get highly acute patients versus when I was staff. I am struggling to secure good references because the management on the unit I am on isn't involved with the staff. Does anyone have any advice with this? Any advice/guidance in getting into the program would be so helpful and appreciated from previous applicants/current SRNAs/alumni/future CRNAs etc! Thank you!

Hey there! I'm also applying for RFU August 2022. The good-ish news is that whoever ultimately becomes your three references doesn't need to actually go out of their way to write a reference letter since you just need their contact info to put on your resume. It's less work for them, so hopefully less of an ask. Sorry, that's all I can come up with.
