Hi all, I'm new to posting here but have used it on numerous occasions to get input and answers to some of my questions. Now I'm trying to use it to get help for a great number of individuals. I recently started a petition on whitehouse.gov to push to have legislation created that would allow RN First Assist's to bill federal/state insurances as well as medicaid and others of the same. There are currently only about 16 state that have legislation for RNFA's in regards to billing but it would be nice if our president would use some of the "executive" penmanship he keeps flaunting around in order to push an issue that would truly save patient's money vs. costing patients and taxpayers money. Currently PA's and NP's can bill for all insurances at a much higher rate but Medicare doesn't recognize RNFA's as advanced nurses, even though they need a minimum of 2 years Operating Room experience before they can even take their CNOR and then being able to be proficient in just about all services.
