Hi,
I have been an RN for about a year and a half now. I have 9 months of psych at the state hospital, and am currently working on a telemetry unit and have been here for about 6 months. I want to relocate to a hospital closer to my new home. Right now I am driving 50 miles one way.
Would it be appropriate for me to start looking And applying to other jobs? I want to stay in telemetry but not sure if I have enough telemetry experience to get on at another hospital. I do have my ACLS. Advice needed please and thank you !!!!

I would absolutely apply at a hospital closer to my new home. With that as your reason for changing jobs after six months, I don't think that would be held against you. Fifty miles is quite a long drive and gas prices sure aren't going down.
Perhaps you could somehow put into your cover letter how you recently moved and are looking forward to serving your new community. Or if they have a nurse recruiter, call them and mention that is your reason for changing jobs so soon and that you have a strong desire to stay in telemetry and that you are just looking for a shorter commute.

apply and when you interview they will learn your experience is limited but it is THERE. Good luck
