I work in an outpatient wound clinic where it is common for the RN Case Manager to document the wound debridement as a scribe. The RN is in the room during the debridement and the physician signs after the RN. Just wondering if this is within the RN scope of practice. I may be overthinking this but just not crazy about this practice.

Yes this is in the scope of practice. If you are a scribe, the doctor May review it and sign it off afterwards. That verifies that that is his word.
