RN degree without clinicals?

Published

Hello,

I am a RPN who worked in Thunder Bay, Ontario. A RN I worked with had got her RN degree, graduating out of Canada, without doing clinicals. I am wondering if anyone knows where this may be as am looking for a compressed RN degree. Thank you.

That is a good question but honestly you should look for a program with the most opportunities for clinicals.  The more clinical opportunity you have, the better outcomes you will see in your personal growth as a nurse.  Good luck!

Hi Karen,

Probably During that time clinical was waved for majority schools bc of Covid. I believe those hybrid schools in Florida is  optional to do clinical. Their schools are 20,000. Up front for the program. I know several ppl who graduated from one of the Florida hybrid RN program… And I heard the good and bad… I guess it’s up to the individual..

Unless you have acute care experience. Clinical is critically important. If not it will be a nightmare for you and that patient.
