I've searched the Virginia Board of Nursing website, and searched this site, and it looks to me like RN's in Virginia do not currently have CEU requirements by the state. Is this correct?
I saw some mention of individual facilities (hospitals, etc) requiring CEUs from RN... does your hospital require CEUs, and how many?
[Disclaimer: I OF COURSE plan to continue my education, forever and ever, to keep abreast of current information related to my field/specialty. I am just interested in the requirements of the state BON and any hospitals that people know of that require CEUs in Virginia.]
Thanks, everyone! :)

No. Virginia does not require CEU's to maintain a basic RN license -- though it has been talked about.
Update in August 2013. The posts above were written in 2010. In August of 2013, the Commonwealth of Virginia updated its Nurse Practice Act to include a requirement for either CE's or other evidence of confidence. See the Nurse Practice Act itself to get the details. It is available on the website of the Virginia Board of Nursing.
Thanks! I appreciate the confirmation.
