I am a 3.5 student and will be receiving my Associates degree in Social Science (Psychology) this coming Spring. Before I wasn't serious about my education (hence my GPA), but now I know I want to work towards becoming a CRNA, and as quickly as possible. Can I go for my Bachelors in Nursing immediately following? Or must I get my Associates in Nursing first?
My community college offers a 2-year Nursing program to become an RN... but what is this degree called, is it considered an Associates of Science in Nursing?? And if so, then what is an LPN?
I know the CRNA is someone who has a Masters in nursing. But can someone please explaing to me how to get there from where I am at? I would greatly appreciate it.. thank you..

You can start working towards a bachelor's degree in nursing right away or do the LPN (liscensed practical nurse) to RN (associates degree in nursing-2yr.) to bachelor's degree in nursing. Most nursing programs though are very competitive! If you have the pre-reqs done for the nursing program you could apply to the program right away but if not you'll have to get the pre-reqs finished first and then apply to the nursing program. I hope this helps!
I have a few more pre-req's to complete so will have to wait before applying to the program.
Thanks for your help!
If your applying for a program that starts in the spring, you could apply now and finish your pre-reqs during fall semester. But every school is different. Any school that I've looked at, you have to have your pre-reqs done by the start of the nursing program. Others may be different though, you'll have to check at the school(s) you're applying too.
