RN with ARREST record/NO conviction, in CA, possible?

Published

hello,

i need some support, and if anyone was in similar situation could you please share your experience?

i am in california.

i have been arrested for shoplifting, and charged with misdemeanor about 3,5 years ago. i went to the court, plead "not guilty", entered pre-trial diversion program for first time offenders (you dont need to plea guilty to be eligible for this diversion program). took one day class+40 hrs volunteer work, and then the case was dismissed and charges dropped. i was never convicted (thank god!).

anyways, right now i am studying towards my goal of becoming a rn. and i have a question, will that be possible for me take rn nclex exam?

i know that ca bon looks at each case individually, and i am not asking for a legal advise ( attn: moderators).

i am just curious, are there any nurses who were in similar situation and were able to obtain their rn licenses and actually got hired at the hospitals?

please, share your experiences, or if you've heard from others about similar experiences.

moderators (siri), i am not seeking a legal advise, and i already read this thread:

please refer to this thread for other information:

nursing licensure with a criminal history

i just want to see of others were in similar situation and were able to succeed with their nursing careers.

thank you in advance!
