Just got accepted to the CNA program at Riverside in Newport News, VA.
can anyone tell their experience either working for or attending their program. Which facility and which shift would you recommend?? I am considering the hospital doing 7 pm to 7 am until I can get a car since the bus cant get me there at 7 am. Any input will be appreciated! thanks!
some questions I have been stressing over:
How was the actual program?
How was it getting the job after certification?
where is the best place to work? retirement community or the hospital etc.??
which shift is better? labor pool? 12s three days a week etc.
are you able to say...pick only night shifts for a while??? ( important)
what is the pay like? are there differentials?
A specific question: I already sent them recommendation forms with the application but once i was accepted they said they wanted references at the start of the class. Do I just need the contact info or do i need to ask for two more letters like i did for the application? Im a little confused. Probably just over thing since I have never been accepted to a program like this.
