Retired after 34 years - Do I qualify to work in Utilization Review?

Published

Check out my resume down below and feel free to share your thoughts. We have traveled and moved to Florida since retirement in 2020. Would like to find remote part time work to serve others and keep my mind working. I love detail work. In my clinic days in triage, we spent most of our time obtaining pre-auth's for procedures and prescriptions.

Looks great to me.  Easy to read and understand IMO. I retired from my state nursing job after 30yrs, last March.  I am now looking to get into your, but have no experience in your.

Absolutely! I saw that your resume highlights experience in case management, quality assurance, and policy review—all of which align well with utilization review. This role is highly independent, requiring strong caseload management and a deep understanding of insurance plans. In my opinion, if you can effectively convey those skills on your resume and during interviews—while also demonstrating a clear understanding of the role's expectations—you'd be a good match.
