How does one go about trying to repeat courses at BC? When I was 16 I was admitted to BCC (as it was called then) as an early admissions student (The College Academy). Back then I took all the prerequisites, CHM1032, BSC1085/1086 etc. However this was not my choice, as a high school student we were given a list of classes and that is what you took ... period. At that time, I decided that all that science was too hard, gave up and got terrible grades. I didn't even know how to withdraw from a class at that time; I just stopped showing up. My question is; can I apply for some sort of forgiveness? I have since earned a Masters degree with excellent grades; not to mention that this was nearly 10 years ago. Is there any hope of me ever becoming a nurse ? Or should I just accept my retarded career path of "Speech-Language Pathologist" that I chose at 16, and forget all hopes of a satisfying career that actually helps people.

You have to have the pre-reqs ( chem1032, bsc1085 etc) completed and get C or higher, but if you already have a Master's degree there will be classes that you will not have to do againg (eg.ENC1101)

from what I've seen on this board before, you will have to retake BSC1085/Lab and BSC1086/lab at a private school, such as Kaiser and transfer it over. For Chem, I think you can take a a higher level chem and that will override it.
However, if this was over 10 years ago, I believe you have to retake them anyway, and if that's the case, you can retake them at BC. You will have to see an advisor to be certain, or go into the health science admissions office and ask them. Hope this helps.

I would go and talk to the admin dean, they have a form that you fill out and explain the bad grades ect. You could also re-take the class to replace the grade, I wouldn't settle for a C in the pre courses because it will make it that much harder to get into the program since they go by points
