Hi all. I just thought I'd reintroduce myself. I have been a member for a few years now and in the process changed by Username three times LOL.....RNTOBE07 (During nursing school), PerinatalRN07 (When I graduated) and now....CNMtobe2012. Recently found out I was accepted to Frontier School of Midwifery!! Excited , scared but ready. Anyone else in Class78?

Congratulations! You'll love Frontier! I'm in Class 61... just 10 more births to go... I thought I was scared starting the program, but now I'm REALLY scared! Boards... Independence...
To all you Frontier ladies (and gents), what is the best way to gear up for the next 2+ years and what has helped you make it through?
Thanks. I heard the Frontier experience was exceptional. I can't waite for Frontier Bound in June. Good luck and best wishes to you both as finish up.
Best ways I have found to work well in the Frontier program:
High level of self-motivation. It is entirely up to you to keep up with the work. If you procrastinate, you will be trying to jam it all in at the end of the term.
Staying focused on the end goal.
Being very organized! Writing down every assignment and when it's due - I have it written down in several places (file folder for each class, file folder on my computer for each class, datebook, calender).
Good family support for study time. Your family needs to understand that you need quiet time when you're studying.
Creating a study schedule for each week.
Keeping in touch with your fellow students. You build an amazing rapport with each other when you go to Kentucky for the initial "Bound" session, and again when you go back for clinical bound.

I will take your advice to heart....thanks. I am hoping to be in class 79.
