Hi everyone :
I have a question to ask , Does anyone ever worked for agency or registry nursing .? I just started the job as registry nurse ! Because I do have acute hospital experience for one year and school nursing and nursing home for 2 years ! But for past 3 years , I have not been able to work as a nurse due to some personal issue ! Recently I just back to my nursing filed and one of the nursing agency hire me but the job is incredible hard for me . they sent me to different hospital all the time and sometimes I got very mean charge nurse . Therefore , She totally think I am not able to do it because I am so slow and try to learn all different hospital charting system ! I don't know if anyone have the same experience that can share ? My company does not provide me any clinical training ,I pretty much just go after 2 days of training ! It's so hard I just feel I can't do it but that is the only way to get the job now , Does any one know any kind of nursing training for nurses who does not work for 3 years ?? I really need help !! Plz help me
THANK YOU SO MUCH

Suggest you look for a refresher course that includes a clinical placement (usually available through your local college)
Also, consider telling the agency that the learning curve is steep and you do not feel you can practice safely when you move around to many different hospitals/nursing homes. You do not have to say yes to every offer the agency makes, just agree to work at a couple places until you become familiar with the charting, policy and procedures, routines and patient populations.

Moved to the Agency Nursing forum to help you get better responses.
From your post, it appears that English is not your first language. Perhaps there is a language/communications barrier that it making it hard for you.
Otherwise...yes, agency nurses get little orientation and what they do get is more administrative (e.g., here's our policy and procedures and there are our supplies) than clinical. That's because agencies expect nurses to be able to function clinically on their own from the start--they're not going to invest the money to teach you the nursing basics that you should already know.
And yes, sometimes agency nurses aren't looked upon kindly by the nurses they are working with. It's not uncommon for the undesirable assignments to be dumped on the agency nurse. Or they may be skeptical of your skills until you can prove yourself. Learn not to take it personally.
I agree with the prior poster: stick with one or two assignments until you get used to agency nursing and the location(s) you are working it. Once you gain some confidence at one site, it'll help you adjust to other sites.
Best of luck.
