Recruiter: "Don't call me, I'll call you"

Published

I applied online at the hospital that I really like, and the next day I got a call from them. The recruiter asked me if I have a time, and I said "yes". Not knowing that she's going to interview by phone. To make the story short, after the phone interview, she ask me when would be the best time for me to see the nurse manager. I told her the date which is in 2 weeks. 5 days later, I called her to see confirm the interview for next week, but she didn't call me back. After that I called her again 2 days later, and eventually she called me, and told me that she already forwarded my resume to the nurse manager, and as soon as she find out from her she'll call me. The scheduled interview have already pass, and she didn't call me yet. Did she just give me the "Don't call me, I'll call you" line? :sniff: I was so excited for my first interview, and now I feel like... I don't know.... like a child who just found out that there is no Santa? :bluecry1:

So what do you guys think... should I call her again, and see?

Well sure. I wouldn't call every couple of hours ;), but calling shows you're interested in the job. Besides, sometimes things do get lost...

Thank you hikenurse, I guess I'll call at the end of the week... I just don't want them to think I'm being pushy.

Let us know how it turns out. A lot of people apply for jobs and it can be easier when someone stands out. Good luck :).
