Hi, I am applying the BSN in Adelphi University, and got my TEAS score this morning. I really worry about my admission.
This is the required passing score from the college I am applying:
The minimum passing scores in each of the four areas are:
Reading - 61.9%
Math - 56.7%
Science - 31.3%
English - 50%
I got satisfied scores on math, science and English, but my reading score is only 61.9% (the minimum passing score). Although my total score is 83% (Percentile Rank - Program: 97) and classified as Advanced, I am worrying if I will be rejected because of my low reading score.
Anyone know which score is more important? The individual section score or the total score? Thanks so much!

It depends on the school. Some schools have particular requirements regarding reading and composition, others concentrate solely on math and science and still others really only look at the adjusted individual score.

I really don't see you having a problem getting in. Your score is good. ATI also placed you in the Advanced category which is really good. I don't think I'm gonna make it in unless I take my test over. I scored a 72%, not so good, and they put me in the Proficient category which isn't bad but it's not great either. My Gpa is so-so, 3.72. Do you think if I call them they would tell me what the "passing score" is to get in? I just wanna know if I have to take it again.
