Hello sooo let me first say that I am very happy about my acceptance into the ADN program:yeah: This was my plan B ,for I was not admitted into the BSN program. To anyone that wants to be a nurse and that's your passion never give up. This is just the beginning for me and I plan to go back to school to get my BSN. Does anyone have any tips on what should I be ready for,how to study, and how do I prepare for my first semester of nursing school?

Hi Jasmine,
Congratulations! You sound like you know nursing is for you, so you should be up for it. All schools are different, but prepare for a lifestyle change. There will be many hours of studying, make sure you know your A & P well. Figure out your learning style- there are free online tests that can help you figure that out. Once you know, you can tailor your studying to match your style- if auditory, tape your notes; if visual, make drawings or cards etc.
It can be difficult to get in the swing of things, but don't give up. Good luck!

And why you were not accepted in the BSN program? did they give you specific reasons? I'm curious because I'm applying for a BSN program as well.
They required an sat score and I did not meet that minimum requirement.
