Re-taking classes..ruin chances??

Published

I'm trying to choose some Nursing programs around Middle GA (Macon State, Middle GA College, Darton, Gordon) that I'm going to apply to and was wondering if anybody knew how the majority of the College's average the core classes for their Nursing programs for example, I had made a few C's in a some classes (college was the last thing on my mind during my first semester's) and I have recentely re-taken them and made MUCH better grades!...BUT I'm scared that the first grade will ruin my chances!! :( I hear that some programs go by the better grade, but also that some average the bad grades in with the good??

Most school will average all the grades...which includes the class retaken. So if you got an F in A&P1 and then an A in the repeated class then you average will be a C. ( this is just an example ). But if your overall GPA is good then you have nothing to really worry about

Most schools average the grades. Valdosta State University will take the highest grade if it has been 10 years since you made the "bad grades "
