Questions regarding obtaining a degree & enlisting

Published

I am a 31 yr old mother of 5. I have been a bit busy raising kids, and now want to pursue my nursing career as quickly as possible. My husband is 92Y AGR attached to a hospital unit, and feels the best way for me to go about this now is through the military. I have a ton of questions and not sure the best way to start going about this.

I do not have a college degree and would like to get it before going into the Army, but with the financial help of the Army. Is this possible? My husband was mentioning something about they will assist you with books, a stipend and repay your loans upon successful completion then you owe them time.

I am willing to make a career with the Army after I obtain the degree either through the AGR or Reserves. He isn't sure how to go about it and says he'll talk to people, but he tends to get half a story and I'm left wondering what in the world most of the time.

Any help/recommendations would be extremely welcome on how to start this process.

Thanks!
