Questions about CNA Exam.

Published

Okay, I had a post before about my CNA exam. That's tomorrow.

As of right now, I am blanking out about EVERYTHING. :/

I have some questions, Sorry if this makes me seem dumb. And yes I looked on youtube lol

1. If I get bed pan on the test, Is the "Patient" able to lift themselves up, (So you can slid the bed pan and blue pad under) Or no?

2. If I got denture care. Do you perform it on the "patient" Or just show how you wash//brush them?

3. And ROM. I know how to do it, but in what order? Do you bend the knee and, or, elbow first, Then go into the whole leg//arm? Am I even making sense? lol

I can't believe I am forgetting everything. I feel horrible.

Specializes in long term care, oncology.

when you take your exam keep in mind that it is "hospital usa" meaning every patient can assist ( roll to their side, get up, walk.. etc) and speak to you.

if you get denture care there will be a set of dentures and a live person not a dummy and you have to perform mouth care on that person as well.

for rom exercises the instructor usually gives you one or the other. either upper or lower extremities. not both. you just have to remember 3 movements and you're good to go.

try not to stress so much over it the instructors are usually really good and friendly. talk your way through it and do the steps over in your head before you say im done. remember to wash your hands, knock, introduce yourself, provide privacy, and explain what you are doing.. the rest will come to you.

good luck!!

I have no clue why I didn't see that you responded to this. Sorry for not responding! I did my test, and passed. :) I had Bedpan, Transfer into wheelchair, and Vitals.
