Hi there!
Quick intro:
My name is Molly, and I have been lurking these boards for almost a week now. I'm 18 years old, and in my first semester of college. I've known for quite some time that I want to be a nurse. I've been taking it easy this first semester, just so I could get used to my new college (I'm at Pasadena City College). I am taking a math, spanish, and cycling class.
I have a meeting with a counselor on Thursday, and I have no clue what this meeting is going to entail. I got a postcard in the mail telling me to make an appointment with "my" counselor (and like a sheep, I did), and when I was making the appointment, the clerk asked me what my major is. I declared it as nursing, and she scheduled me with the nursing counselor. I have come up with two questions (both are about the numbers of people that apply to the program each year), and I don't know what else to ask her.
Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I could discuss with her?
Thank you, in advance! :]

What is the attrition rate of each class? Meaning, if 50 students are accepted each year, how many are left at graduation?
What is the NCLEX pass rate?
How far away are the clinical sites? I've read that some students have had to drive 1.5 hours (one way) for clinicals.
Does the nursing program offer tutors or extra assistance for students needing help?
What are the hours for the hands-on lab? Every nursing school should have a practice lab for students to learn skills, and the hours should be accommodating for most students to work around.
How long have the instructors been at the school?
That's all I can think of right now. Good luck with the appointment and the start of your nursing adventure :)

Thank you for your well-wishes, and so much more for your help! This has helped me tremendously with coming up with more questions.
