Question about WCC Spring /Summer class

Published

Hi gang

I am just starting my pre-reqs at Washtenaw CC in May. I am signed up for CEM105 BIO111 (A&P). Given that the Spring/Summer schedule is shorter (and thus more hours per week) than the Fall or Winter terms, am I killing myself taking both classes? Or is just taking two classes fine? I didn't have to take the CEM090 or the BIO102 because I had them in High School (although that was 25 years ago!), so hopefully at least some of what i learned in basic Chemistry and Biology will come back to me so I'm not totally lost.

Also, In comparing the number of total hours. Spring/Summer CEM meets for 9 hours a week for 10 weeks (so 90 hours) the same number as the Winter term (which is 6 hours for 15 weeks). BIO meets for 11 hours a week for 12 weeks (for 132 hours), but the Winter term is only 7 hours a week for 15 weeks (105 hours). Does that make sense?

Thanks for your help!

Dave
