Question about RN License by Endorsement to Alabama from Illinois

Hi Everyone,

I am in the process of doing RN endorsement from Illinois to Alabama. Since I am a foreign graduate I had to sent the college transcripts from my foreign university and because of covid the process is going but slow. Also I had to do the CES evaluation again. My all my CES documents are at CGFNS and it is under evaluation. Hope that it takes few weeks.

Since Alabama comes under the NLC states , I plan to get a multistate license. I see that there is a online application for RN endorsement in Alabama Board of Nursing website. My question is :

  1. Should I wait for CGFNS to finish evaluate my documents and then apply for the endorsement in Alabama Board of Nursing?
  2. Do I have to get my foreign university documents again for the endorsement process under Alabama Board of Nursing.?(it takes time so if needed I could start that process now itself)
  3. Once CGFNS checks out my documents , does Alabama Board of Nursing gives a green signal? Anyone has any experience?

I got my Illinois RN license on December 2020 and I never anticipated this much time for the endorsement.

Appreciate any suggestions.
