Question about natural science test portion of the LPN entrance exam

Published

Hello,

I am scheduled to take an LPN entrance exam (PSB - Aptitude for Practical Nursing Examination) test soon. I received a few pages of specimen questions and purchased the "Master the Nursing School and Allied Health Entrance Exams" book to help me get prepared.

My question is.. how is the natural science portion of the test? Is it a significant portion of the exam and how complex are the questions? I read some of the questions in the book but I am not sure how big that section of the test will be.

This is the only part of the exam that has me nervous.. I think I will do fantastic on the other parts.

EDIT: I have almost all pre-reqs for my BSN. The only classes I didn't get to finish were Chemistry and Speech Communication. I have some background with A & P II and II and Nutrition and Diet Therapy, but I'm a little rusty.

Hi, I just took this test last Wednesday.. I took A and P last year and I was nervous about remembering a lot of the science stuff. I googled PSB and there were a ton of websites with practice questions. I studied these questions for a few days before the test. I ended up with an 86% overall! It's really not that bad. The academic aptitude part was worse than the science part. There's a lot of math questions on it. Brush up on your percentages, fractions and ratios... There wasn't a lot of algebra on it, which I was thankful for! Good luck on your test!

i am taking lpn entrance exam in few weeks. can somebody cah help me with chemistry or any other suggestions.
