Is this only for pregnant people? because the other day I noticed that I had a dark line going down from my belly button to my pubic area, and I don't think that I am pregnant. I found on some online websites that the linea nigra shows during the second or third trimester. Please respond... Thank you

It can be found in persons that are not preggers. I have a very faint one too. It will probably get darker when I am with child. You're not a freak or anything.

I have seen newborns with faint linea nigras. I think it can be a side effect of OCP, also.

I had my last baby 16 mths ago... I still have my line, however, it runs from my breast bone down to my belly button (not any farther below that....) I'm not sure if it typically runs down that far or not.... HTH's
