Question for Brookdale/Rutgers Communiversity students-credits more than 10 years old

Published

Hello all. I am a new memeber to this website/community. I have been on here many times in the past reading over threads, but this is my first time posting. This site seems to be pretty awesome for learning and interacting. So any way....I am currently finishing my last two pre-reqs (over two semesters) at Brookdale for the nursing program. I am working towards a second degree. I graduated BCC in '97 or '98, and graduated from Kean University with a BA in Communications in '02. When I returned to BCC I was given a pass on credits more than ten years old because I was a BCC alumni. Already thinking about the future of my education, I would like to get my BSN down the road through Rutgers via their BCC Communiversity. So my question if anyone can answer it is this....Does anyone know if continuing at Rutgers through the Communiversity, if they allow credits more than ten years old to be accepted?

I know it is a Rutgers program with Rutgers instructors and the whole nine yards, but I didn't know if they would cut some slack for a BCC alumni, who will be an RN through BCC as well. I obviously would not want to retake and pay for MANY of the same courses I have already taken in the past. If that is the case, I will search elsewhere to continue on for my BSN in the future if I can find a school that would let it slide. An online porgram perhaps.Thank you for any replies or insight.

I would suggest calling the school and asking them. My school will not accept the science classes if it has been more than ten years since it was taken. I hope everything works out for you.
