Hello everybody. Back in the year 2000 at the age of 16 I was arrested for assault against my stepfather. I was arrested but released within a few hours because it was ruled self defense because my stepfather had a violent history and was a convicted felon.
Anyways I graduated from school last year and was offered a job and right now i'm being investigated by PreCheck for my background. The only law problems i've had in the last 12 years were just a speeding ticket in 2005 & 2009 but otherwise never been in trouble with the law. The only time the arrest came up was when I joined the military when my fingerprints were ran.
My question is will this arrest pop up on the background check? I really want this job because it's been very hard to find work due to lack of experience. I really appreciate the help!
