Queshtion about getting certified in one state then having to move to another

Nursing Students CNA/MA

I am currently living in Florida have been for a long time now but going to be moving to Texas in the summer. I was wondering will I be able to just transfer everything or will I have to take all there tests or courses out there in TX? How does it all work? I would hate to have to take more courses or spend more money on taking another CNA course out there. If someone could give me some information it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Our CNA instructor told us yesterday that if you're certified in one state, you just need to check the requirements for the state you wish to move to. For example, CA requires 150 hours to be a CNA, but if you move to another state that requires 180, then you would need to complete an additional 30 for that state...does this make sense?

Thank you. That does make sense. I will have to look and see what TX requires. It would be South Texas.
